2014 is shaping up to be an awesome year for Sportsman Enduro Karting Nsw. Thank you to all that have helped make the series what it is today in such a short period of time.
Canberra Race 3 Report
Sunday the 24th November saw the final race of the 2013 Alitrax Sportsman Enduro Karting series brought to you by the Goulburn Kart Racing Club. After a very eventful year for teams, the entries were down a little but interest in the series is higher than ever.
The teams entered for the Canberra event made the most of the fine weather with many teams arriving early Saturday morning for unofficial practice that soon turned into a social event that continued into the night.
Clear skies greeted us on Sunday morning, teams setup, practiced and qualified with Corey Emr putting the KBC Racing kart on pole. The race started and soon turned into a sprint race that lasted the entire duration of the race. The first hour of the race saw an hour long battle for the lead between KBC Racing, Horsepower 777 and Too Addicted. They were closely followed by Test Tag Outlet and Kaizen Racing. As usual the pit stop strategies toward the end of the first hour turned it into anyone’s race. A near perfect strategy saw Custom Decals take the win and prove that a full season could see them serious championship contenders in the future. Second place went to KBC racing coming off the back of their first win at the previous round. Third place went to Too Addicted after a win at the Sapphire Coast round in September. Fourth place went to Kaizen Racing who have been the most consistent team over the last 3 rounds. If Kaizen can carry this form into 2014 they could well be serious contenders for the title next year. In fifth place was Test Tag Outlet followed by Addicted and Lifestyle Autos who both had their best results since entering the series. Both teams proving you don’t have to be the fastest teams out there to get results. The rest of the top ten was filled by regular series supporters CIA Racing, Barts Karts & Parts and Team Addicted 32.
The series winner was also decided on the day. Going into the event the championship leader was Horsepower 777 with Test Tag Outlet only 16 points behind. A further 14 points behind was KBC Racing. With mechanical issues striking the top two teams KBC Racing capitalized and won the series by 6 points over Test Tag Outlet and Horsepower 777 in the 3rd place. 4th place went to Barts Karts and Parts and Starkey Motorsport in 5th place.
Details on the Sportsman Enduro Kart, 7 round 2014 series and our 24 hour event will be released in the coming weeks.
The Goulburn Kart Racing Club would like to thank our series sponsor, Alitrax Circuit Control Systems.

As most of you know there is a large amount of work going on to get our series to the standard we want by the committee
and others for 2014 and beyond.
To that end I can now announce that in addition to the new Website, Email account and Facebook page, that the new forum is up and running and can be accessed from the Website here. I would encourage everyone to join the forum.
Now to some exciting news , within the next week or two we will be in a position to announce some major news , that news will be our new Naming Rights Sponsor for 2014 .
This sponsorship will be a major coup by Martin for our series and will be a major benefit to our racing , exciting times indeed. At present work on the calendar for next year is in progress and our aim is to run a seven round NSW Championship and the 24 Hour as a stand alone major event giving us eight events for the 2014 season. We are hoping to be in a position to announce
the calendar at our final event of the year on the weekend of 23rd/24th of November.
The final event location and format should be locked in soon and will be confirmed as soon as possible. We would ask as many teams as possible to attend both Taree and the final round of the series as after all it is now your series, to show your support and
help put the series in the best possible position for 2014.
Taree as previously advised will take place on the weekend of 19th/20th October. After consultation with teams it has been decided it will now be a one day event, hopefully this will now make it easier for QLD teams to attend and assist NSW teams with travel time.
The supplementary regulations will be available in a few days and will be emailed to teams.
The event will now take place on Saturday the 19th of October with a 7 hour race finishing under lights. Sign on will be from 10am in the morning with practice starting after the drivers briefing at 11.30am. The race will take place after qualifying from 2pm to 9pm
As we found at Bega sign on time is critical , so to speed up this operation we require all information from teams well before the
event so this information can be pre loaded in to the system.
We would ask all teams to complete their entry forms in full and please include your transponder number in the space provided, in addition every driver must fill out a driver form and submit it with the entry form. If this can be done it will maximise our track time
which is a plus for everyone. Please return forms via email.
The normal services that were provided to teams in relation to engine sealing , new motors and exhausts will now be handled through the club. Engine sealing and exhaust costs will be as per the previous arrangement with new motor costings to be advised.
The series is advancing at a rapid rate, but to make it all work we need teams support, see you all at Taree.
